Op. 6 piece – “Adazdo”, which is a word-play with slovak word for rain (dážď) and italian tempo marking Adagio, is written for K4 Guitar Quartet, and is a sonic depiction of rainfall and storm, unfolding through a series of contrasting atmospheric stages.
The piece follows the gradual transformation of the natural landscape — from distant droplets and fragile stillness to dense rhythmic motion, violent turbulence, and eventual calm.
Rather than imitating nature literally, the composition explores the emotional and physical energy contained within rain and storm phenomena.
Textural layers, shifting dynamics, and evolving rhythmic figures evoke changing intensities of weather, while moments of resonance and silence suggest suspension, tension, and release.
